Beyond the tools: what does a “Digital Serenity” working day look like?

8 Aug 2025 | Digital Serenity

Is your working day a race against your tools, or a fluid collaboration with them? For many VSE and SME managers, every day is a battle: forgotten passwords, files that can't be found, chaotic communication. This "digital stress" distracts you from your real mission: developing your business.

But there is another way of working. Digital Serenity" is not a distant dream; it's a concrete objective that we help our customers to achieve. To prove it to you, we've imagined two days in the life of Marc, an SME manager. One will sound familiar, the other is the one we want to build with you.

The Day Before: A typical day in digital chaos

  • 9:00 am: Marc opens a deluge of emails. He spends nearly an hour sorting and prioritizing, in constant fear of missing a crucial piece of information.
  • 11:00: He has to prepare a sales proposal. It's a hunt for scattered information: emails, hard disk, shared cloud... He loses twenty minutes searching, breaking his concentration.
  • 2:30 pm: Organizing a team meeting turns into a long, sterile conversation, with emails going back and forth to find a time slot.
  • 4:00 pm: He spends an hour double-entering, manually copying data with no added value.
  • 6:00 pm: Leaving the office, Marc is anxious: "Is our data safe? Are we RGPD compliant?". His day has been reactive, fragmented and stressful.

The "Day After": A day in "Digital Serenity" mode

  • 9:00 a.m.: Marc opens a clear, organized messaging system. Spam has been filtered out, important conversations are highlighted, and an intelligent assistant has even summarized lengthy exchanges. His first hour is devoted to strategy, not digital archaeology.
  • 11:00: He prepares his sales proposal. The document is in a centralized workspace. He invites his colleague and they work on it at the same time, on the same file. Collaboration is fluid and efficient.
  • 2:30 pm: To organize his team meeting, Marc consults the shared diaries and finds a common slot in less than two minutes. The videoconference link is added automatically.
  • 16:00: The time he used to spend on manual data entry is now used to call a strategic customer and strengthen the relationship. Technology has "augmented his capabilities, without replacing him", enabling him to concentrate on high value-added tasks.
  • 6:00 pm: Marc leaves the office with peace of mind. He knows that his data is protected by a secure system, managed by a partner who takes care of the IT complexity and compliance for him.

Digital Serenity" is not a tool, it's a partnership

The fundamental difference between these two days is not simply the use of better tools. It's a change in philosophy. The "Day After" is possible because Marc's digital environment has been designed and built with one purpose in mind: to solve his real-life operational problems.

At Bourbon Digital, our mission is to be the partner who orchestrates this transformation. We take care of the technology so that you can free yourself from the role of technician and devote yourself fully to that of leader.
